We get it. Luke has money. Scott Patterson, the actor who plays Luke Danes on Gilmore Girls has money. And he’s not modest. “Lucy Liu and Clooney live down the street,” Patterson told the Daily News.” Of course, I’d like to believe down the street really means another town a few minutes away in a gated community far from the actor formerly thought of as humble. (Yeah, yeah I know the rumors about his on-set behavior, I just chose to ignore them.)

Would someone please explain the point of the (New York) Daily News piece on Scott Patterson? He has money but won’t say how much. He once lost $5,000 in one night gambling in the Bahamas. During the dot com bust, he lost $25,000 in one day on tech stock eToys. He has a financial planner in case the Gilmore Girls checks stop coming in, so he doesn’t have to go back to living in the 1966 Pontiac Tempest that he bought for $400.

But since the CW has only renewed Gilmore Girls for only one more season (idiots!!) what ever will Scott do? Well he’s now looking to buy distressed commercial and residential property.

So Luke has money. And after Gilmore Girls goes down the drain (and then off air) in the last season because creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her hubby Daniel Palladino left, he plans to sell his house and he should be set for life.

Phew. I was really worried. I want my minute back. And I’m sure, now you do too!
