Laura was out sick on Wednesday (she claims I allowed her to get food poisioning from Tuesday’s Chinatown lunch but we ate the same food from the same serving dish so I think Laura got sick from something else. Seriously.) so Molly and I commited a crime.
Molly and I went through the music Laura had on her laptop for new songs to listen to as we worked. There was quite a bit of Disney on there. Skip. Jack Johnson. Skip. And after Molly told me secrets about John Mayer I can no longer listen to him. He has three what?!?! Skip.
We ended up listening to Soul Decision and Five on repeat and occasionally played a Beatles song since Elizabeth is a big fan of jazz and classic rock. (The chances of Jazz being played in my office are about as good as the chances that I will marry Tom Cruise instead of Katie Holmes.) And for some reason Jason Mraz played a bit too many times. Laura has quite a few non radio friendly songs in her playlist which surprised me because I’m used to radio edits. So in the middle of singing along to some of the songs I would look up because I would unexpectedly hear the real version of a song.
The point of this post? To let it be known to the world that Laura has some pretty crappy music. Upon her return on Thursday, she started buying some iTunes because her other tunes weren’t really cutting it and she knew it. So there!!
