Of course she was insane. No sane person would drown their five children.
She has to live with what she did for the rest of her life. That’s still life in prison as far as I see it.
It’s so sad reading what happened. And sad that no one could see this mother just felt so depressed she started having episodes which led to the tragic events in her bathroom.
It’s so very easy to judge someone for doing something like this and much easier to judge someone for talking publicly about their experiences and criticize them for taking prescribed medication.
And I just can’t do that. I’m a mother and while I didn’t have psychotic experiences after having my children, many mothers are unfortunate enough to have severe depression and post partum psychosis. Now that Andrea is back to her senses and has realized what she has done, I hope someone is watching over her so she doesn’t do anything crazy to herself.
