Today’s the big day. The ING New York City Marathon. 37,000 runners take to the pavement of all 5 boroughs of New York City.
Next year, I’ll be with them but for now, as for the past 4 years, I’ll be on the spectator sidelines cheering on the marathon runners from around the world… Reading their signs, pointing out their silly outfits, screaming words of encouragement to runners who look like they are about to pass out and die.
I know a whole two people who will be running today. One does marathons like she’s just running out to the corner store for milk… no sweat. The other has been running for a while so both of them will do absolutely fabulously. Next year, I’ll probably finish nine hours after they do. Oh well. lol
So exciting to see everyone running and the crowd coming out to cheer them on. That’s why I go ever year. A nice little tradition.
