One bagel Luke will not be getting upon request on the way to school –

The $1,000 bagel topped with white truffle cream cheese and goji berry-infused Riesling jelly with golden leaves.

Chef Frank Tujague of The Westin New York hotel in Times Square (yep, only in New York) wants to help raise funds for the Les Amis d’Escoffier scholarship. It helps students of the culinary arts afford what else, culinary school.

(And in the meantime also create some press for The Westin since I don’t think anyone says “When we go to Manhattan, we just must stay at The Westin”.)

So go eat one of those $1,000 bagels…. Woohoo, tax and tip are included!

You only have until December 14th to help a kid go to culinary school so they can come up with things like $10,000 martinis, $125 hamburgers and $1,000 pizzas.

Oh wait, New York already has those.

As for me, I’ll just stick to waiting on line at H&H Bagels for a sesame seed bagel with plain cream cheese.

(I’ll even send the first five people who live outside of New York and email me, the H&H Bagels “Taste of New York” gift package. Because you don’t know bagels until you’ve had one of these.)
