May 2008 Archives

You know you need a haircut some kinda bad when your daughter’s portrait of you for Mother’s Day has hair so long it covers your face.

Hanging on the clothes line of Mother’s Day portraits at Nat’s school was her interpretation of the metropolitan Cousin It. Love it!

The look through my child’s eyes has inspired me to take a couple of inches off my massive head (embrace the grande cabesa!) of hair when I go see my stylist.

She’ll be happy. I’m always fighting her.

“No, Minnie I look like a man with short hair. No cutting!”

“Woman, I will not have a job if you make me look like Susan Powter!”

(I’m so old school, I didn’t think to say Britney)

Anyway, at the bottom of portrait, it’s Nat’s response to “I love my mommy because”

Her reply “she takes me to the park.”Not bad. At least she didn’t write “she buys me gifts” like another kid wrote.

Dude…. With all the stuff Natalie gets everyday in the mail, I am so happy she realizes that’s not what is important. YEA!

Anyway, thanks Nat. Love you too. And might I add, your penmanship is pretty rockin’.

Happy Birthday to Harrison.

One year old.

Truth be told.

I am so birthday partied out.

Luke’s shindig was only two weeks ago.

So there will be no year in pictures in this blog post.

But there will be a fairly quiet celebration at home for Harrison.

With Luke and Nat.

And his daddy.

And me.

They will eat cupcakes.

And I will eat flan.

We will dine on fattening Puerto Rican food. From Abuelitas.

I will tie balloons to his high chair.

His sister will insist we use a big 1 candle for his cupcake.

It will be a nice relaxing way to celebrate Harrison’s first big day.

Happy Birthday Harrison.

The Happiest Baby in the World.
