Instead of writing a blog post I smile at every time I read, I’ve been posting less.
And using Twitter (@nominivan) more.
My daily life has been reduced to 140 characters glimpses in the form of tweets.
I could have written the requisite blog post about Michael Phelps winning eight gold medals or a Baby Mama movie review.
But instead I twittered.
I’ve been Twittering about everything – giving everyone my two cents.
Cheering them on when they need it most. Laughing when they talk about hanging out with Jamie Foxx. Giving support when people are jerks. Sharing concern for those evacuating because of Gustav.
And sometimes just twittering when I have a random Jason Mraz song stuck in my head.
Or my thoughts on whether Sarah Palin really had a baby or if Trig is really her grandson.
Or the fact I am giving away so many of my personal belongings in order to get a new start this school year.
Or the hilarious that ensued while walking 11 blocks to my Mother’s birthday dinner yesterday. (3 kids, 1 ginormous purse and a birthday gift in a big box… you can figure out the rest.)
And that’s when I’m not spending time participating in the Sarah Palin Little Known Facts meme.
I have a feeling I’m not alone.
So if you miss the stories and photos of my sons and daughter, blame Twitter.
Or follow me so you can hear about the time I waited until the very last minute to pack up and go away for Labor Day weekend so the weekend became Labor Day day and pretty much only Labor Day afternoon since I’ve spent most of the weekend cleaning the apartment and laughing at what was listed on my Summer to-do list. But you probably already knew that — you follow me on Twitter.
