The first thing I do when I wake in the middle of the night and realize there is no hope of me returning to that dream about me and Johnny Depp walking through the aisles of Stop and Shop is to reach for my remote control. But I am just not interested in watching Real Estate for Less paid programming.
So I end up stopping at a music channel hoping to watch an artist I’ve never heard before. While that worked in the past, times have changed and now I usually get a reality show so ridiculous I turn the TV off fearing I’ll be sucked into the train wreck.
And then I’m left alone at 3AM staring at my laptop but not wanting to answer emails.
This morning, I woke, found my remote and then turned on the Roku and in less than a minute I was watching Jason Lewis in his failed attempt at a Bollywood movie. Now that is the way to spend the morning. J
The kidlets woke up so I put on some Charlie Brown videos for them as I started the morning. Really liking the Roku player. It works with Netflix so it has over 12,000 movies and TV show episodes that can be instantly downloaded on the TV making it a lifesaver when the kids are no longer entertained by Cars and the programming on Noggin just won’t do.
Not every movie or show in the Netflix is available for instant download but a significant amount of things are available so it’s a nice addition to our family room considering the weather outside is frightful and staying home and making a bowl of popcorn with Kernel’s apple cinnamon popcorn seasoning seems quite delightful right about now.
