I confess, when I was younger I made mix tapes. Usually during the summer.

All the best songs came on the radio during the summer.

And summer songs were the ones you could listen to over and over again at the highest possible volume.

While those are now songs I would rather not listen to (Cece Peniston, anyone?!) back then it was all “Ooohhhhh turn this song up”

I went to LA last weekend but I didn’t come home with a mix tape.

I came back to New York with a soundtrack and a tour name.

I give you the soundtrack for the March 2009 Something New – Los Angeles tour.

An incredible list of songs I now play when I start my morning.

Use Somebody – Kings of Leon

Dancing Shoes – Gavin DeGraw

Sober – Pink

Wish I Didn’t Miss You Anymore – Angie Stone

Make You Feel My Love – Adele

Beautiful People – Marilyn Manson

Why Don’t We Fall in Love – Amerie

Sex on Fire – Kings of Leon

Circus – Britney Spears

I Will Remember You – Sarah McLachlan

Dead and Gone – T.I. with Justin Timberlake

If You’re Not the One – Daniel Bedingfield

The tour that absolutely changed my life almost didn’t happen.

But behind every tour there is someone doing something to make sure it happens.

So I must thank JD – my host, tour guide, chauffeur, cheerleader, chef, shrink, dj, enabler and true friend for making it happen.
