No matter how many times I cringe at the thought of how dirty the sand boxes are at playgrounds, I still allow my kidlets to jump right in when they see one.

Just don’t have it in me to deny sweet little faces the joy they get from digging tunnels and throwing sand at me shoveling sand with other children in the sandbox.

And sometimes I join them.

I’ve been going to the Billy Johnson playground since I was a child. It’s one of my favorite playgrounds in Central Park.
There is just something about that built-in slide. Natalie loves it.

It’s so fun that sometimes even big kids show up to enjoy it.

(Yes that’s Neil … complete coincidence… Manhattan is so small.)
This is why I love living in Manhattan, no matter where we are there’s a playground nearby for kids of all sizes to enjoy.

Next stop Natalie’s with Nana for a few days. She has her Tae Kwan Do test on Thursday. The boys are with their dad. I’m planning a last minute end of summer road trip.
