29 in 2009
I’m not comfortable making a New Year’s Resolution because it just seems like I am setting myself up for failure by calling it a New Year’s resolution. I am however comfortable making a list of 29 things I’d like to accomplish in 2009.
And they are -
1. Take a Pilates class for the first time. DONE – January 2009
2. Walk inside a gym. DONE – January 2009
3. Sign up for a gym membership.
4. Take a yoga class for the first time.
5. Eat something I’ve never eaten before.
6. Learn something new. DONE – August 2009
7. Lose those pesky 11lbs.
8. Visit somewhere I’ve never been before. DONE – January 2009
9. Hand the card Leah gave me to someone else.
10. Make three new friends. DONE – March, May, June 2009
11. Bring my daughter to four Off Broadway and/or Broadway shows. DONE – April, July, 2009
12. Go to karaoke DONE – May, August 2009
13. Leave my cell phone home one day.
14. Read six books from a Bestsellers List.
15. Stop eating past 7PM when I’m home.
16. Have dinner at Bouley.
17. Launch the new blog.
18. Ask someone for help. DONE – August 2009
19. Wear a tiara on my birthday for the entire day. Morning til midnight. HAD TO SKIP
20. Help someone.
21. Close the laptop and enjoy a bit more time with the kidlets. DONE – January 2009
22. Accept an invitation to a fabulous event.
23. Bring my children to a toy store and let them pick out a toy instead of always shopping for them.
24. Find the right color make up for my every day wear. DONE - June 2009
25. Go on business trips outside of the usual places. DONE – January 2009
26. See someone about my sensitive skin.
27. Pick up the phone and call a friend I usually just email.
28. Take more photos with my children.
29. Use my Flip Mino HD to record oral history from my grandmother.
I’ll cross them off as I do them. Hopefully at the end of 2009, I will have completed most if not all of them. Maybe even surprise myself.
