I didn’t mean to .. it just happened.
I had every intention of staying faithful .. even after the not so pleasant moments in our relationship.
But today I cheated.
On my hairstylist.
Yes, the one who is the subject of all my fire filled tweets every single time I sit in her chair.
Today is apparently some sort of holiday and she decided to take something called a vacation — which might explain why she didnt answer my text asking for a last minute blow dry appointment today.
Well, I got there and she was no where to be seen. Her work station neat as can be with the photo of her eighteen month old son stuck on her mirror waiting for her return.
Another stylist was nice enough to give me a blow out. I needed one. And I needed one quickly because I had to be walking in the door of a meeting an hour and a half later.
After she gave me a pretty good (and most importantly quick) blow out, she asked me to not tell my usual hair stylist that she helped me.
I promised her I wouldnt.
As I walked to the subway to go to my meeting, I realized it was the first time in several years I had gone to the hair salon without having an annoyed tweet as a result — without having an appointment for 3PM but not getting seen untill 5PM — without getting a disapproving look for not agreeing with a style or change she wanted.
Today I cheated. I briefly considered going back to the stylist from today today but that could be awkward.
It’s officially just time for me to move on.

Like my nail color?
Sure its not the usual conservative color I pick when getting a manicure.
But it was free. Thanks to Kirstie Alley.
Kirstie Alley’s Big Life airs March 21 on A&E and in promotion of the new series, A&E is paying for manicures in LA and New York. All you have to do is agree to use the Essie color “Life Lick It” in the manicure. That’s the color I have in my picture above.
