We get it. Luke has money. Scott Patterson, the actor who plays Luke Danes on Gilmore Girls has money. And he’s not modest. “Lucy Liu and Clooney live down the street,” Patterson told the Daily News.” Of course, I’d like to believe down the street really means another town a few minutes away in a gated community far from the actor formerly thought of as humble. (Yeah, yeah I know the rumors about his on-set behavior, I just chose to ignore them.)
Would someone please explain the point of the (New York) Daily News piece on Scott Patterson? He has money but won’t say how much. He once lost $5,000 in one night gambling in the Bahamas. During the dot com bust, he lost $25,000 in one day on tech stock eToys. He has a financial planner in case the Gilmore Girls checks stop coming in, so he doesn’t have to go back to living in the 1966 Pontiac Tempest that he bought for $400.
But since the CW has only renewed Gilmore Girls for only one more season (idiots!!) what ever will Scott do? Well he’s now looking to buy distressed commercial and residential property.
So Luke has money. And after Gilmore Girls goes down the drain (and then off air) in the last season because creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and her hubby Daniel Palladino left, he plans to sell his house and he should be set for life.
Phew. I was really worried. I want my minute back. And I’m sure, now you do too!

Clearly I watch too much tv due to TiVo taping everything under the sun which remotely resembles junk reality television — Blow Out, My Life on the D List… (Of course it won’t tape House of Boateng for me but that’s just my luck.)
In early April when I went out to LA, I passed by the Hell’s Kitchen production studio and now tonight the first episode of the second season aired. Wow, totally different set of chefs than the first season. Horrible to watch. If it wasn’t for Gordon Ramsay making me laugh, I would have turned off the show five minutes into it.
I wonder what the winner of last season is doing. I think he was going to name his restaurant Lola Pop after his wife. Cute. And Elsie. She seemed cool. Nice down to earth mom who liked to make turkey tacos for her kids.
Anyway, Hell’s Kitchen season three is currently being casted. There’s no way I’m trying out. I’ve already said the only reality show I would have tried out for was The Apprentice Martha Stewart. But if you think you’re hot stuff, just email HK3casting@granadaprod.com and tell them the usual info (your name, address, phone numbers, e-mail address, gender, current occupation & title and employer) and then tell them about yourself - Why do you want to be on Hell’s Kitchen? Any culinary training? If so, what culinary school did you attend? When? Any experience in a professional kitchen? Where and when? What did you do? And most importantly, what makes you think you, more than anyone else, can measure up to Chef Ramsay’s standard?
But you should also know “by submitting an email, you irrevocably agree that Fox Broadcasting Company, its licensors and affiliated companies, and their successors and licensees have the unlimited right, without charge and for no consideration, to modify, edit or otherwise use any portion of your email, including your first name if submitted, in all media now known or hereafter created in perpetuity and thoughout the universe.”
I wonder how hot your kitchen will be after they publish your email ranting about your current job and how you want to leave it so badly to become a chef with Gordon Ramsay.

If you promise not to blink you can see me providing commentary on VH1’s The Fabulous Life of Brad and Angelina airing tonight at 8:30PM EST and repeating 203,035 times throughout June.
Ahh.. that Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. What a life she was born into.

I’m a new fan of Last Comic Standing. And it was an indulgence I was planning on keeping hidden until this moment where I opened my trap and told everyone reading this.
Never saw the other seasons (were there 2 or 3 of them?) but watching the season premiere last night had me laughing in an uncontrollable, shut up already I can’t take it any more kind of way… well some of the comics caused that, others caused me to look at my laptop and start organizing my emails.
I went and found all the websites for the ones I found funny and I’m going to try and catch a few of them this summer while I’m out of town…. because for some reason it didn’t dawn on them to come to New York to do their shows.
Do I secretly want to be a comedian? No. But since I’m telling all my secrets, I’d definitely put together an act if there was a charity comedy show event and I was asked to be the opener for the opening act’s opening act. I’d pretty much do anything to raise money for charity. Just have to be asked to consider.
Just call me Victoria “eat a worm” Pericon.
(Note to everyone… I’ve never eaten a worm… either from my grandmother’s backyard or on Fear Factor. But I do acknowledge that if I did, I’d probably have a much bigger television career. Hmmm… where’s that “Deal or No Deal” application?)
Seriously though, if anyone needs help putting together a charity comedy event to raise money for a kid’s charity, let me know!
