1. My family consists of a dashing husband who shares my love of good food and travel and our two daughters who like to remind us that they are really in charge.
2. With all these budget cuts we rethink big expenditures and strive to live stylishly yet below our means. In New York this is easier than you think thanks to amazing museums (MoMA is our favorite for the girls—completely stroller friendly) and plenty of free events (riding the Staten Island Ferry is the best free tour in town!). I’m also glad I can reuse all of daughter #1’s clothing for daughter #2. Finally, I really striving to give my readers a break with discount codes, giveaways and tips for doing more with less.
3. Sometimes I like to stand on my head. I’ve been practicing yoga for 15 years and I find inverting makes me stop thinking and start breathing. After yoga or exercise, I am renewed, refreshed and ready to join in the tea party that never ends in our home.
4. Reality TV doesn’t exist in my world. We are a TV free house. That being said, we do watch DVDs when traveling with the girls. Our entertainment consists of music (Mary Poppins is hot, hot, hot right now), books (Angelina Ballerina anyone?) and activities.
5. There isn’t a cupcake I’ve found that I don’t like or a shoe sale I can pass with at lease trying on one pair. There also isn’t a chance I’ll ever leave my house without two rounds of hugs and kisses from my girls.
